Andrew Lazarow
Founding Member, Laboratory Director
Andrew is a director, designer, and proud member of the Satori Group. He has directed the world premiers of Andrew Dainoff’s All We Can Handle, (CEA nomination), Suzan-Lori Parks’s Drag (365 NYC), Spike Friedman’s Give Yourself the Green Light, Dainoff’s 8-Hour Father, and Satori’s (rsvp).
Other directing credits include: A Number, Gross Indecency, Self-Defense: or death of some salesmen, and assisting Sam Gold on Fizz by Rogelio Martinez.
Recently Andrew designed the projections for Titus at Washington Ensemble Theatre. Other scenic/projection designs include: Sunday in the Park with George (Acclaim Award), Pack Light, Assassins, and The Mousetrap.
With Satori, he has directed Hello Again, Never Swim Alone, and (rsvp). He also designed the sets and projections for The Investigation of the Murder in El Salvador, and Tragedy: a tragedy.
Currently Andrew is working as a collaborator with the Degenerate Arts Ensemble on Sonic Tales, and he is directing Artifacts of Consequence with the Satori Group.
Andrew received his B.A. in Performance Studies from Williams College, spent a month training at the Market Theater Laboratory in Johannesburg, and has been recognized by Apple Computers for “Outstanding Excellence in Film.”
